On our way to Florida! And what a sunny day for a flat tire 45 minutes out of Kalamazoo Luckily Im not only a demolition expert, a Bachelor of Arts, and lethal maker of salsa (say salza to get it right), but I am also a whiz with flats. So with the aide of Lady and the moral support and photographic artistry of Isabella we fixed that flat and were back on the road in under fifteen minutes.
The car excitement continued when we stopped for gas and Lady, whom volunteered to pump, went through the front seat and pulled every lever looking for the gas release. After refueling and hitting the dusty silver we found that the front end was shaking in a non-dance-a-thon kinda way. The hood had been accidentally liberated from its shackles, which resulted in yet another shoulder hugging exercise. And to the semi that blared at us lets just say we will not be playing Whose turn is it to flash the trucker with you any time soon. Theyre called hazard lights, buddy.
And this takes us to 10:39 PM. 17 more hours to go and the first leg of our journey will be over. More adventures to come!
