Yesterday was the first day of the Villach festival. The town is lovely, and walking distance never was a truer phrase.

Before I go into the details which title this blog, I d like to take an excursion down the 'what the heck is up with the food here?' road. Decent food, all throughout Europe, is expensive, and since we are on a budget and have no place to prepare food ourselves, we have been eating cheap and like crap. It started in Italy when, at our hostel, every meal was bread. Soggy, smushed up bread with leftover sauce, dry, hard buns, bread flakes, bread drinks, i feel like Bubba Gump... Anyway, meat was a near impossibility, but i didn't realize how bad the problem was until we arrived in Venice, adn when walking around by the canal-side eateries, I checked out a table full of hot guys, and my eyes drifted down to their table full of hot food. 'What's that? Does he have chicken? And that steak looks soooo good! Hey, Spaghetti, how about you and I meet up later?' - It was that bad.

Now on to yesterday's adventure:

We set up for our 9 pm and it starts thundering and lightninging and raining. Luckily our pitch is by a church with a huge awning, so we move our audience into the tunnel and do a ground show there, which was awesome. When we finish, and our audience dumps, we look back at the rig to see the top of it crash down - in slow motion mind you - into a crowd of people. It was horrifying. We scream, we run, everybody escapes, except one little boy.

Fortunately he only suffered a very minor head wound and is fine, except of course now he is permanently scared of anything large and metal.

Turns out someone thought that the rig was for people to play on, and was swinging on Luna's lyra. Bad news bears. So Isabella is out at a metal shoppe trying to fix the problem in time for our 1pm show. Good luck.
