So last night after work, we walked from one side of Duvall to the other: from the Gulf to the Atlantic, to find that the Moonlight Madness party that Isabella and I had scoped out a few days prior was, regrettably, a bust.
The moon was on our side however, as it revealed some odd things in its light: On the sidewalk on the way back to the Gulf, there were 3 tall, bulky figures in neon plaid chiffon dresses and platforms shoes. This serendipitous meeting resulted in Isabella, Just Vince, and myself climbing up the stairs of a disco bar with red velvet curtains to another bar and stage to watch a wonderful and free drag show. The show stopping number was the host, RV "Sleeps eight comfortably" Beaumont's deliciously hilarious rendition of a Mary Poppins remix. A Spoon Full of Sugar never made so much sense. |
