| | Yellow Springs = fun, cold, wet times

Yellow Springs: I will never get over how welcoming and kind this community is. Just like last year, the day of the artsy town street fair was filled with overcast skies, lots of rain, and tons of nice people. This year, however, the rain was FREEZING and the air was cold. Clad in fishnets, spankies and tank tops, Luna, Flip, Isabella and I braved the weather to a responsive and giving public. This is why I love Yellow Springs: Against my better judgment I decided to do some statue work. The rain was relentless; I could see my own breath (which is interesting for statue work...); I was tired, cold, and wet. Squatting in a crouch position, I hear behind my left ear,
"I'm going to use you for a coat rack."
I feel the warm weight of something on my shoulders. In my shivering state I recognize the foreign object as a coat.
"I'll be back for it later."
I was so grateful. |
